After several ups and downs through the vineyards and olive groves of the Strada del Vino e dell&#8217;Olio (Wine and Olive Oil Road) and past several small towns including San Pietro in Marcigliano, Valgiano and Matraia, we reach the historic Villa Grabau dating back to 1400. From here, cycling along the Via delle Ville, we take the cycle path that runs along the banks of the Serchio River, which we follow as far as the gates of Lucca.
